good things do happen

Still remember when i wrote “membentuk harapan yang baik” in this blog, seems like the universe (i prefer to mention God actually) heard and actualise some of my plans. Good things do happen in my life recently. Like Andrea Hirata said in Edensor “God knows, but He’s waiting for the right time.

After sending several job applications to several companies and International Non Government Organizations, i got accepted to a multinational mining company. This company, is an owner mining company, and my former boss said, the company has a good concern on CSR. I must be lucky to be accepted. However, I must said that i’m about to take a risk by taking this job. Because of some legal project reason, they can only offered me a fix term period of employment. The project itself is a Joint Venture that still on going process to set up their legal entity, and still on exploration phase. They said that there is a big possibility of contract extension depends on the project operations and also my performance. I think taking this job is good to explore my ability. It is much better to take the risk rather than stay in my comfort zone. I need to wake up and get a life.

Off course i didn’t forget the “benefit issue” before signing agreement. I’ve just realized that my old company already have a high standard of remuneration. I mentioned my salary expectation to the interviewer, and after some negotiation they agree to give me my expected amount My BF said, the job was there for me. I was there on the right place and the right time. My hope about getting something new and hopefully better on September really come true. I already have plan to increase my saving with the new remuneration. Thanks a lot to my BF who happens to be my financial advisor

I sent my resignation letter to my boss and HR Department last week, and now this is my one month notice period. I need to prepare some cash to handle “makan-makan” issues among my collagues

Another good things are when I met my old friends from college. First, Attin, who is taking her IELTS preparation course prior her departure to ANU, Australia by ADS Scholarship. She is a good friend who always be my inspiration. It was very delighted to discuss some topics from future plan until our joke about marriage Second friend is Kuwat, my discussion pal at American Corner UGM who is currently working in North Jakarta. I just could lend my ears to listen and words of comfort based on my experience when he shared his cultural shock living in this city. I do understand that he doesnt need any judgment because of his complains. Friends are important factor that make this city still civilised to be resided. I know that the things will happen when on the right time, I still have dreams to be actualised.
